The 1962 Lok Sabha (Parliament) election in Bihar was held to elect Members of Parliament (MPs) from 53 parliamentary constituencies in the state. Indian National Congress emerged as the leading party, winning 39 seats. Swatantra came second with 7 seats.

A total of 22,115,041 electors were registered to vote across the state. Of these, 10,386,746 votes were polled, resulting in an overall voter turnout of 47.0%. The average victory margin across all constituencies was 33,387 votes, with the closest contest decided by just 1,085 votes and the largest margin reaching 84,327 votes.

How Lok Sabha Elections Work in Bihar
